Ada Ward

WARD, Ada W. (Scott)- Age 94, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Elder Daniel Glardon officiating.  Burial immediately following at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-8 PM Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a charity of your choice.  Mrs. Ward was born May 24, 1913 in Rose Hill, Virginia, the daughter of Daniel and Cora (Shackleford) Scott.  She married Guy E. Ward May 17, 1929 in Flint and he preceded her in death June 17, 1996.  She had resided in Swartz Creek since 1962, coming from Flint.  Surviving are: son, Charles E. Ward of Flint; sister, Iva Beard of Jasper, AL; sister-in-law, Hazel Williams of Big Stone Gap, VA; 2 brothers-in-law, Gerald Ward of Ohio, Bob Schroeder of Maryland; many nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Marion  Ward; 3 sisters, Marie Basham, Daphne Scott, Ollie Lee Schroeder.  Online condolences and tributes may be posted at the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
