DEVERS, A. James - Age 63, of Fenton, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at the Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton, Pastor David Mulder officiating. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hospice or the Fenton Lions Club. Mr. Devers was born March 21, 1940 in Saginaw, the son of Melvin C. and E. Louise (Johnson) Devers. He had resided in Fenton for the past 11 years, coming from Saginaw. He married Barbara Ann Devers on November 14, 1992 in Bay City. He was retired from Citizens Bank as a systems analyst. He was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church and the Fenton Lions Club. Surviving are: wife, Barbara Ann; 2 children, Michael and wife Sue Devers of Saginaw, Cindy Devers and partner Lisa Boyd of Bryan, TX; 3 stepchildren, Beth and husband Lew Wagner of Pearland, TX, Laura Ebert of Crystal Lake, IL, Bob and wife Deb Devers of Brimley, MI; 11 grandchildren, Bryanna, Stephanie, Erica, Allison, Andrew, Kylie, Kenna, Chad, Kelly, Corrine and Kayley; 2 brothers, Robert and wife Judy of Ray Township, MI, Richard and wife Janis of Linwood, MI; sister, Sue and husband Joe Jeruski of Saginaw; mother-in-law, Henrietta McInally of Grosse Pointe, MI; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Betty Gerber of Tawas, Bev and Ron Emede of Seabring, FL.
