Thomas Rutter

Rutter, Thomas "Al"- Age 95, of Linden, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 10, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held 12PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Al was born July 4, 1920 in Flint, the son of Thomas and Olive (Brewer) Rutter. He was a 1939 graduate of Central High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 - 1946. He worked as a Claims Manager for Insurance for many years. Al is survived by his wife of 76 years, Lois; children, Jean (Jack) Schoeppach of Linden, Carol Vie of Phoenix, AZ, Lynda (Bob) Hutchings of Linden, Jill Walshans of Linden, Cheri (Cris) Smith of Linden; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; niece, Diana Valenti; nephew, Roger Pohlman.
