Phyllis Barton

BARTON, Phyllis Karen - age 85 died November 28, 2022. Funeral service 1:30 PM Friday, December 2, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/). Phyllis was born March 1, 1937 in Holly, the daughter of Frank and Winifred (Coverdill) McClure. She was a 1956 graduate of Fenton High School and married Paul E. Barton in 1957. He preceded her in death in 2002. Phyllis was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton and enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Douglas (Amy) Barton of Texas, Todd (Melanie) Barton of Burton, Keith (Jennifer) Barton of Fenton, Matthew (Tonya) Barton of Au Gres, and Amy (Greg) Gumas of Marshall; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard (MaryAnn) McClure of Georgia, Thomas (Pam) McClure of Linden, and Kevin (Kim) McClure of Fenton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Stacey Lee Barton; and two brothers, William McClure and Don McClure. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
