Michael Savoie

SAVOIE, Michael John- Age 72, of Flint, passed away peacefully at his home on August 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday, August 19 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be held 2PM- 8PM Sunday and 12PM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Michael was born July 23, 1947 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan the son of Victor and Penny (Linguroff) Savoie. He was a 1966 graduate of Michigan School for the Deaf and worked for the General Motors V-8 plant with 30 plus years of service. He enjoyed attending the deaf services at the Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle. Mike truly loved to travel with his favorite place being Alaska. He enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to going to each of their homes for dinner. He is survived by his daughter, Mary; three brothers, Ed (Karen) of Flint, Peter (Stephanie) of Orlando FL, Dan (Kathy) of Grand Blanc; three lovely sisters, Diana, Janice and Julie (Pat) all of Flint; 63 nieces and nephews and his faithful dog Layla. He is preceded in death by his parents Vic and Penny, brother Ron, sister-in-law, Shirley; brother- in-Law, Craig, and nephew, Jeremy. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his care-givers, Ann, Jeanette, Heather and Kindred Hospice.
