David Thompson

THOMPSON, David Edward- Age 80, of Linden, died Thursday, April 21, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 25, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Sunday and 12 PM until the time of service on Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to Wounded Warriors Project. David was born October 7, 1935 in Arbyrd, Missouri, the son of Woodrow Marshall and Edna Estell (Dodd) Thompson. David served in the U.S. Marines. He worked as a tool crib attendant at Chevrolet Manufacturing for 37.5 years, retiring in 1992. He was a former member of the Fenton Eagles. David loved his grandchildren. David is survived by his wife, Rosemary; four children, Kimberly (Peter) Pabin of Linden, Kirk (Beth) Thompson of Swartz Creek, Kathleen (Larry) Miller of Fenton, Rebecca Thompson of Farmington Hills; son-in-law, Richard Horning of Fenton; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Debby) Thompson of Flint; sister, Rebecca (Charles) Soper of Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
