Carl Panek

PANEK, Carl Joseph- Age 79, of  Flint., died Tuesday August 31, 2021.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 11AM September 8th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint. Father Thomas Firestone, celebrant. Visitation will be held 3PM - 8PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with a 7PM rosary being prayed. Visitation will also be held 10AM until time of Mass at the church.  Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the family. Carl was born October 2nd, 1941 in Flint, the son of  Carl Antone and Beatrice (Morissette) Panek. Carl retired from Paramount windows as the "Everything Man" with 19 years of service. He enjoyed selling flowers, produce and owned and operated CJ's farm market in Reed City and Carl's Bargain Barn in Big Rapids. Carl was an avid hockey fan and was a Season Ticket holder for the Flint Firebird's. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Surviving are: wife, Jayne Panek of Flint; daughters, Dawn (Roger) Hall of Elsie, Lisa (Patrick) Rivera of Flint, Mary (Kelly) Stogner of Burton; Bonnie and Connie of Mio; grandchildren, Courtney, Zack, Andrea, Sarah, Heidi, Tyler, Katelynn, Joseph, Sam, Alex, Stephanie and 10 great grandchildren. Carl was also survived by his Siblings, Jack, Mike, Judy, Keith, Tom, Melody, Pam, Bea and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Beatrice Panek; son, Carl John Panek; siblings, Ann Panek, Jerry Panek, Richard Panek and Patricia Panek.
